Frequently Asked Questions
Are there breed restrictions?▼
We evaluate pets on behavior, not breed. All dogs must be well-behaved and under control. Aggressive behavior of any kind is not tolerated.
Where can I walk my dog?▼
You can walk your dog on any campground road or path. The Michaux State Forest trails are also just minutes away for longer hikes.
Is there a pet fee?▼
No! Unlike many campgrounds that charge $50-$150/season for pets, Pine Ridge has no pet fees.
Can I leave my pet in my RV?▼
Pets may be left in your RV briefly, but not for extended periods. Ensure adequate ventilation and temperature control. Excessive barking while you're away is a concern for neighbors.
What if my pet has an emergency?▼
Gettysburg Animal Hospital and South Mountain Veterinary Hospital are both within 20 minutes. We recommend saving their numbers before your first visit.
