Hunting Camping in Pennsylvania
Your Pennsylvania Hunting Camp
Seasonal RV camping with hunting access
For Pennsylvania hunters, the dream is a season-long camp near quality public land. Pine Ridge Campground makes that dream affordable. Located at 2,050 feet in Michaux State Forest, we're surrounded by thousands of acres of huntable state forest and minutes from State Game Lands 249.
A seasonal site at Pine Ridge functions like a traditional hunting camp - but with full hookups, hot showers, and modern amenities. Set up before archery season, leave your gear stored, and return for rifle season, late archery, and everything in between. No need to tear down and rebuild camp multiple times.
The Michaux State Forest holds healthy populations of whitetail deer, turkey, and small game. The terrain - mountain ridges, oak draws, and water sources - concentrates game in predictable patterns. Spend a season at Pine Ridge, and you'll learn where animals move, feed, and bed.
Unlike crowded public hunting areas near cities, Michaux offers space. The 93,000-acre forest provides room to find your own spots, develop them over time, and hunt without bumping into orange vests every hundred yards.
Why Pine Ridge for Hunting?
Traditional Pennsylvania hunting camps are disappearing. Land gets sold, leases get expensive, and cabin maintenance never ends. Pine Ridge offers a modern alternative: all the benefits of a season-long camp without the burdens of ownership.
Your full-hookup seasonal site stays set up all season. Hang stands during scouting trips. Store gear between hunts. Bring hunting partners for different seasons. Your camp is always ready.
The community includes fellow hunters who share information, help drag deer, and swap stories at the Corn Crib Bar. It's the hunting camp camaraderie without the hunting camp expenses.
